Amaranth Grand Chapter members:
I pray that everyone had a healthy, safe, social distancing Palm Sunday and beginning of Holy Week. My heart goes out to the first responders, essential workers, and those who otherwise cannot stay at home and are risking their lives for the sake of others. Also praying for comfort for the sick and bereaved families. If you are non-essential, please stay at home so that we all can survive Covid-19!
As you know, one of my songs for my tenure is “Encourage Yourself” by Donald Lawrence and The Tri-City Singers, and encouragement is what I want to give everyone right now. District #2 had a wonderful “Moment of Faith Teleconference Call” last Wednesday and I say to you the same that I said to them:
During this Coronavirus Pandemic some may be getting cabin fever which affects our mental health or are just stressed out for various reasons, and it is wonderful to check on and encourage each other. Amaranth Grand Chapter Members Statewide are doing an excellent job of doing just that and are showing true Sisterhood & Brotherhood. I am confident that this virus will pass soon, and we will be a better group of people for having experienced this pandemic. I heard a quote from Dolly Parton that says “If you want the rainbow, you have to deal with the rain. I believe that God has sent this virus as a “rain” in order to force us sit down and meditate. To think about the world around us, to think about ourselves, and to think about how we treat each other. And then when the “rain” (this virus) is over, we will come out of it with a “rainbow” of kindness and compassion towards each other. My motto is: Take a look in the mirror and then “Do Unto Others As You Would Have Them Do Unto You”. Mankind was getting out of hand and God has sent us a reminder that He is still in control. Now is the time to be obedient to God and also to follow the orders of the Healthcare leaders that he has sent to save us. Then be patient and wait (stay inside!). God bless each of you and your families.
Members please do a Facebook check-in on my page so that others will know how you are doing. We may not have physical contact for awhile, but we can still stay in touch!
I am proud to serve as Grand Worthy Matron of such kind and compassionate members.
