Amaranth Grand Chapter Foundation, Order of the Eastern Star, Prince Hall Affiliated, State of Ohio and its jurisdiction is a 501-C-3 non-profit fraternal organization. Our membership is comprised of approximately 2500 members, female and male, who support numerous charitable projects annually. Our mission is to serve those in the state of Ohio and abroad by communal outreach, charitable service and scholarship. We are concerned with the plight of our youth and endeavor to be a blessing and a beacon of light and hope for them. We are embarking on an aggressive campaign of fundraising to support our chosen charities:
1. St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital – Our goal is to raise $10,000 to sponsor a hospital space, recognition wall and/or brick dedication. Sickness and hospitalization of children takes a toll on the entire family. The stress of paying is relieved by the fact that they will never receive a bill from St. Jude’s. However, St. Jude’s depends on the kindness of donors to help defray those expenses;
2. Central State University (HBCU) – Our goal is to raise $5,000 to help students to reach their full potential by supporting the University’s operations and scholarships;
3. Amaranth Grand Chapter Scholarship Fund – We award scholarships to students annually in August. Our goal is to increase our awards by $5,000 to brighten the future of more students.
Our youth are truly our future and we want to afford them every opportunity for success in both health and education. As the saying goes; Give a man a fish and he can eat for a day but if you teach a man to fish he can eat for a lifetime. If we help our youth learn how to fish (education) it will pay off with dividends unimaginable. After all, we will depend on them for the good of mankind, but we must help them gain the necessary tools. Higher education is unattainable for some due to the costs involved, but once it is attained it is priceless. Your contributions will allow us to be a blessing to others who are in need.
